  • Legislation on national and international fisheries, including the conservation and exploitation aspect
  • Overall tasks relating to national and international fisheries policy
  • Total allowable catch (TAC) and quotas
  • Development initiatives etc. regarding fisheries
  • Onshore installations and settlement production, including service contracts with Arctic Green Food (AGF)
  • General matters related to councils, boards, work groups, committees and conferences
  • Regional, bilateral and international conventions, agreements

Hunting

  • Legislation about national and international hunting, including the conservation and exploitation aspect
  • Overall tasks relating to national and international hunting policy
  • Quotas
  • Trading subsidies for sealskins, including service contracts with Great Greenland (GG) etc.
  • Hunting license system
  • Payment hunting
  • Regional, bilateral and international conventions, agreements
  • General matters related to councils, boards, work groups, committees and conferences

Control and sanctions

  • Greenland fisheries license control and the hunting officer scheme

Agriculture

  • Legislation on agriculture, sheep and reindeer breeding
  • Agricultural policy in general
  • Promotion of the agricultural sector
  • Trade subsidies for lambs and sheep, including service contracts with Neqi A/S
  • The Agricultural Council and underlying institutions

General for fisheries, hunting and agriculture

  • Servicing the Home Rule Government in connection with matters relating to Parliament, preparing legislation on business subsidies, the fisheries financing pool, and re-establishment support for fisheries, hunting and agriculture, including structural adjustments of coastal fisheries as well as consultancy services for fishermen and hunters, including service contracts with the Association of Fishers and Hunters in Greenland, KNAPK.

  • Administration of legislation on national and international fisheries, including the conservation and exploitation aspect
  • General assistance in national and international fisheries policy
  • Administration of the total allowable catch (TAC) and quotas, including issuance of licenses and permits
  • General tasks relating to control and observation of fisheries 
  • Realisation of development initiatives etc. regarding fisheries
  • Administration of onshore installations and settlement production, including service contracts with Arctic Green Food (AGF)
  • Assistance and performance of tasks related to councils, boards, work groups, committees and conferences
  • Preparation and participation as well as follow-up of regional, bilateral and international conventions, agreements

Hunting

  • Administration of legislation about national and international hunting, including the conservation and exploitation aspect
  • General assistance in national and international hunting policy
  • Administration of quotas, including issuance of licenses and permits
  • General tasks relating to control and the hunting and fisheries officer scheme
  • Follow-up and realisation of trade subsidies for sealskins, including service contracts with Great Greenland (GG) etc.
  • Administration of the hunting license system, including issuance of hunting licenses
  • Administration of payment hunting
  • Preparation and participation as well as follow-up of regional, bilateral and international conventions and agreements
  • Assistance and performance of tasks related to councils, boards, work groups, committees and conferences

  • Performance of control and observation of hunting and coastal fisheries through the hunting and fisheries officer scheme
  • Performance of control and observation of sea-going and foreign fisheries through checking fisheries licenses and recording fisheries data

Agriculture

  • Administration regarding legislation on agriculture, sheep and reindeer breeding
  • General assistance in agricultural policy
  • Administration of promotion schemes aimed at the agricultural sector
  • Follow-up and realisation of trade subsidies for lamb and sheep, including service contracts with Neqi A/S
  • Assistance and performance of tasks related to the Agricultural Council and underlying institutions, including meetings and conferences

General for fisheries, hunting and agriculture
Assistance in servicing the Home Rule Government in connection with matters relating to Parliament, assistance in preparing legislation on business subsidies, the fisheries financing pool, and re-establishment support for fisheries, hunting and agriculture, including administration and follow-up of applications for structural adjustments of coastal fisheries as well as consultancy services for fishermen and hunters, including service contracts with the Association of Fishers and Hunters in Greenland, KNAPK.
